Account

Contrast is free to use locally. The Free trial also runs one account-wide Cloud Factory so agents work from the browser or mobile app. Plans determine the AI allowance, factory concurrency, preview history, hosting, and collaboration features.

#Signing in

Sign in with GitHub (the main path) or an email magic link. Before you sign in, work happens under an anonymous identity stored in your browser. When you sign in, any anonymous project you have been building migrates onto your account automatically and you land back on it, so nothing is lost.

AI features need a verified identity: a verified email, or a connected GitHub account.

#Plans

There are three plans: Free, Pro, and Enterprise.

• Free: build and run locally, use live simulators and previews, and use a small lifetime dollar trial through one account-wide Cloud Factory on web or mobile.
• Pro: $10/mo per account ($5 the first month) with $10 of usage each month, up to 10 members, Smart routing, private projects, recurring Cloud Factory usage from browser to mobile, 240 account-pooled Cloud Factory hours each month, one account-wide active factory driver, and 90-day preview history. Production hosting is $10/mo per live web project.
• Enterprise: contact sales, not self-serve.

The pricing page has the current per-token rates, limits, and full plan matrix. The in-product usage meter is the source of truth for your remaining AI budget, so exact numbers live there and stay current.

#Usage and billing

Build draws from one dollar balance. AI usage is metered at transparent per-token rates by model, and rnx cloud actions are metered per action. Pro includes $10 of usage each month across both products, then bills only for what you use. Each live production web project also has a $10 monthly managed-hosting base. Custom domains are included with that base. Run usage from published apps is not charged while durable metering is built and calibrated. Free accounts get a small lifetime dollar trial so you can try agents through the same account-wide Cloud Factory before subscribing.

Manage your subscription from the billing portal: update payment, see invoices, add prepaid balance, or cancel. If a payment fails, paid cloud access drops as soon as the subscription is no longer active, and returns when billing is healthy again.

#Beta invite codes

During the beta, Pro can also be unlocked with an invite code at /invite/<code>. Redeeming requires a signed-in account (not anonymous) and grants Pro without a Stripe subscription. Redeeming the same code twice is a no-op. A code can be invalid, expired, or fully redeemed, and the page tells you which.

#Collaboration and access

Invite collaborators from the project menu (Invite people…) or Project Settings → Access. You share a link, and an optional email locks the invite to one recipient. Invite links expire after 14 days.

Collaborators are editors or viewers:

• Viewers are free.
• Editors require the project owner to have an active paid plan.

Pro is not billed per seat. Access is tied to the owner account, across every project it owns. The owner cannot be removed from their own project.

When a collaborator’s agents run AI inside a project they belong to, that usage bills to the project owner. Usage outside a shared project bills to whoever ran it.
